The lakehouse has been built in an ecologically friendly way, using controlled, sourced Canadian timber. The house has been constructed to extremely high specs to cope with the weather extremes Canada can throw at you. From long hot summer days to guaranteed snow and ice in the winter this house will keep you in comfort and luxury. Air conditioning, underfloor and central heating is standard. An open fireplaces for those cosy nights inside and hot tub and sauna for those cosy nights outside. A choice of cooking in the hand built, fully fitted kitchen or venturing outside to use the gas fired barbecue. Its up to you. Living here you really are ‘at one' with nature and the environment, bringing the outside in through the ‘cathedral' glass walls and giving you the opportunity to spy some of the local wildlife. Kingfishers, Raccoons, Chipmunks, Eagles and even the occasional Moose. From sunbathing to stargazing from skiing to chilling this really is a true haven any time of the year.
The living area features a glass wall overlooking the huge deck, private walkway and views down to the lake. Italian leather L shaped sofa and contemporary furnishings. Plasma TV with multi region DVD player and satellite receiver. The dining area has facilities for up to 10 people to dine together.
The beech bespoke hand built ‘gourmet' kitchen features a granite worktop, breakfast bar, range, double refridgerator, microwave and dishwasher plus everything you could require for your stay. Utility room housing washing machine and tumble dryer. The glass walled sun room has a ceramic tiled floor to keep you cool in summer but with the option of separate underfloor heating to keep you cosy through the colder months. Door leading on to patio deck. Double glazing makes this a true 4 seasons room. Ground floor level bedroom 1 has twin beds. Close enough to keep an eye on the children but isolated enough for their privacy. Ground floor bedroom 2 has one double bed and chair/single bed. All bedrooms have radio/alarm clock/i-pod charger. The mezzanine area features sofa which convert into extra beds for 4 persons. Computer desk with laptop and printer. !00" retractable video screen and ceiling mounted projector. Surround sound video system. Both master bedrooms feature ‘Super king size' beds with en-suite bathrooms. Designer fittings and ‘walk in shower rooms' feature in both.
